Grooming in Altavista, VA
Grooming is more than just looking good—it’s an essential part of your pet’s health and happiness. At Altavista Animal Clinic, we offer professional pet grooming in Altavista in a safe, supportive environment.
Gentle Grooming for Anxious Pets
We understand that not every pet loves bath day. That’s why we prioritize gentle grooming for anxious pets, using calming techniques and a patient, compassionate approach. Our team works with you to help your pet feel as relaxed and secure as possible during their visit.
We welcome both cats and dogs, and tailor our services to each pet’s size, coat, and temperament.
Our Grooming Services Include
Dog baths and nail trims
Ear cleaning and brush-outs
Anal gland expression (upon request)
Cat grooming services (including de-shedding and hygiene trims)
Light trimming (please inquire about availability)
Health & Safety First
To ensure the safety of all pets in our care, all grooming patients must:
Be up to date on core vaccination
Be current on flea and tick prevention
Have a recent negative fecal test on file
If you’re unsure whether your pet meets the grooming requirements, just give us a call—we’re happy to walk you through it.
Why Choose Veterinary-Based Grooming?
Choosing a clinic-based grooming service means your pet is in trusted hands, with trained staff nearby if a health concern arises. If our groomer notices something unusual—like a lump, skin irritation, or dental issue—we’ll notify you and can schedule follow-up care if needed.
